Final Project : Social Media Issue

In this final project, we are told to come up with some idea about social media issue.

What we think about it and draw it out the way we would like to express it.

Well, I came out with the idea which were quite clearly shown in the project I did.

Let's see how i did my project.

First of all, I came up with the sketch.

I know my sketches are not good, but Im working on it...^^

I draw my sketch on an A4 paper and I uses an app on my iphone which name camscanner to capture the sketches and crop and scan it in my laptop.

And here it is, ready to work.

Next, I colored the background in a dark color and different shades of grey and then smudge it.

And same goes to the monitor but instead of grey cold colour i uses attractive color to makes it stand out.

But before i colour both on top, i needa multiply the sketches, so the sketch will still be seen even thou it is painted with color later.

I took some pictures of the keyboard and crop them to paste it on the sketches of keyboard.

After that, I uses lasso tool and create a moving line and color all other part, and uses some shades of colour and smudge to show perspective.

Lastly, I add the monkey hand by cropping it out from the picture i found, as im not good in drawing monkey's hand.

I've change the original color of the monkey's hand and attach it to the body.

So here it is, the image of my social media issue...

I drew monkey due to monkey are the closest alike to human where they are easily affected by the surrounding.

The colorful monitor shows how attractive the social networking are that are able to ruins people life, and inversely a dark color background shows that the monkey busy getting involve in social media and do not take in mind about whats going on around him.

 I drew all the basic physiological needs of human behind the brain of the monkey shows that they are so busy getting involve in social media and just left all that behind their brain .

Next field trip : Central Market

In this field trip, we are asked to capture image we like. I went there myself too as I didn't have transport that day where everyone went together.
Let me show you what have i capture on that day when i went to central market...^^

This Image above is a lift, I capture this because I find this unique and we hardly see this lift in other places.

This is a image of Painting , as I always fancy paint art and this capture my eyes even though it is not colorful and only the same shades of color used. 

About this image, i love the way the artist paint it by black and white, and of cause grey. These few colors are my favorite color too. And this painting shows the older days building and transport. 

I believe we can see this type of paint art everywhere especially in those high end restaurant. But i would still like to capture as i personally quite like this. 

As for this 2 painting above, I've always like painting like this that makes the painting look so real as if it is really moving.

And as i already said, this picture have my favorites color and the way the artist paint this have given me the peaceful and calm and also an olden days atmosphere and I like the Paris Tower too.

 On my way going out, as I have capture the image I liked, this catches my eyes. This are sand art, which means filling up the bottle with colourful sand and creates an image. This are actually something new to me, as i never see something like this before. And the moment i capture this picture and look back to this, I actually felt happy as the artist were happy to do her art piece. As this brings her happiness, it may bring others happiness too.

Last but not least, before i leave, I've decided to take a picture of this big WAU, as this represent the culture of Malaysia.

A meaningful visit to National Art Gallery

One day, for our field trip in order to enable us to gain more knowledge about arts, we are asked by our lecturer Mr. Khairul to pay a visit at the National Art Gallery.  I went there myself as I have some other things to do personally before I join my friends to the Art Gallery, and I lost my way when I’m looking for my way to the National Art Gallery, eventually I found my way there and manage to catch my friends and lecturer too before they leave.

Anyway, when I walk in to the National Art Gallery, in the 1^st hall on my left, the first art piece I saw, and I can never it out from my head. It is sort of an 3D art, and it’s name of the piece is After Guernica by an artist named Suhaidi Razi. The artist gave an image of politics issue from the point of view of the west countries like Europe  This art piece shows me how important peace and harmony to society as the art piece shows the consequence for not being peaceful in a society.

The next art piece I personally like are some art piece showing some childhood memories. This art piece named Si Kecil Manis by an artist Maslin Ramly. This art piece made of wax and under the wax there are colorful pieces like lollipops, a cute dress and etc. I like the way the artist uses wax for this art piece, it creates a frozen like of image which also means keeping our childhood memories. Apart from that, using wax may cause the image and object underneath it to be blurry  which also similar to our memories, which we cant recall our memories clearly, yet, is inside our mind.

I recall this 2 art piece not because I love it, I wanted to share how I feel and what I obtain from the field trip. Youngster nowadays are too much into digital stuff and they hardly aware and get in touch with all of these beautiful art piece, painting, drawings and a lot more. And now that our government are able to provide our society by building art galleries, youngster should be motivate to get out of the house and pay a visit to explore and learnt these art. 

Step by step~~Vintage PopArt

Hey everybody, welcome back to my blog...^^
Last week, I had learned about how to create a vintage pop art...
And here, i will show you How i did mine...^^
Enjoy...=)

My idea is about super moms...
So, i gave the object a tough, super and caring image...^^
I refer to a website and guidance from my lecturer when I'm doing this...
So it will be pretty much similar but different theme and object used...

Step 1 :
Look for a vintage paper/background from google image...
Any vintage paper will do...but look out for image with watermarks on them...
Open the image at photoshop...

Step 2 : 

I use the paint brush on black with very low hardness to paint the edge of the background to make it looks lke a dirt

There are other ways which by using cloud, but then due to the background already have patterns on it so i just use brush instead...

After that , I look for a man in suit image and crop d body

Paste on the vintage background and adjust the size of the body

Step 3 :

I go for a super woman image

and i crop the super woman head and hair and fix and blend it with the collar of the suit

for the body part i add on an apron image on it due to mom do cook...=)

Step 4 : 

Add on the sunburst shape and i download it from a website

I click on Layer then i choose add shape 

Look for the sunburst shape i want for my image then i click multiply the layer 

So, the shape can be seen on the background without having it covering anything...

Step 5 :

Next, I would like to add different pattern on the paper 

I look for texture i like and save it in the pattern on photoshop

then i select the area i would fill the pattern on to and add the pattern 

I use cloud effect to colour out the pattern i like...

Step 6 :

I want to put in other other pattern too...

i choose rose image pattern...

i add new pattern of the roses and enlarge them to the size i prefer and then multiply...

Step 7 :
I look for inspiring word image
crop it out to the size i want, paste and adjust the angle i want...
I found 4 word i think it will best describe moms
they are Family, Love, Strong, and Dream...
Adjust the layer by pulling the words behind the mom image but infont of everything else...

Step 8 :
Pasting on the background will not back it standout...
I add on shadows to all 4 words by go to drop shadow in edit layer and add the shadow on...

Step 9 :
Look for 3 more vintage paper
I used eraser to erase some of the edge to make a tear paper effect
And use the burn tool to make all 3 paper looks burn and old...
Crop and paste and adjust to the space and size i want...
Add shadow as well for all 3 paper and adjust the layer for overlapping paper...

Step 10 : 

Is almost done...

Add text to the 3 paper added in the previous step...

I used different font but similar colors for each letter i put...

And adjust the angle to match the paper angle... 

Step 11 : 

Add the last word on top of the 3 paper

And same step as above, choose different font from the 3 letters 

Add drop shadow on the words to make it stand out a little...

And The End...^^

Art Movement~~~

Since Last two weeks ago, our Lecturer had told us to write about Art Movement…><

I’m sorry that I drag this long to finish your homework sir.

Well, Art Movement can be define as a type of style of art which have common viewpoint and goal, followed by artist in a certain period of time which can be in months or years.

In this Post I’m going to write about my few favorites’ art movement.

One of My favor art movements is Abstract Art…

Abstract Art is a type of art which you couldn’t see an image in it; it is only represent by colors, lines and shapes. Abstract art are usually can be seen on painting or sculpture.

The reason I like abstract art is because of its imagination of a painting. It is one of the art I can fully use my thoughts and I have free will to paint what is in my mind. Apart from that, I also love the way the color can be matching without your notice and through those color, a new image may be form. From my view, I will always get a different image each time I look at an abstract art and this fascinates me.

Apart from Abstract Art, Street Art is another type of art movement that fascinates me as well…

Street Art may define as visual art that developed on street (public space).

In the past, poor people had been making through living by make music, painting on the floor, or walls. These people are the ‘original’ street artist.

In some people’s view, they call street art as vandalism; usually these people are those high end people.

The reason why I Like street art may due to a street artist I met quite a time ago, I was watching him throughout his paint his pieces, I was amazed how he can draw so freely and he looks like he is just randomly paint the wall. However, when he has done his piece, so quickly and his piece brings out an image of his personality.

Street Art can show an artist personality and also it can voice out the message deep down in the artist mind.

And recently, 3D street art seems to be quite popular, and I love the piece which got the bears in it…^^

Horse Sketch Color...^^

Hey everybody, Wish you all had a great Chinese New Year...^^
Well, before Chinese New Year, our lecturer gave us a task..
Which is colour a sketch...
He provide us a sketch image of a horse head...
And we are needed to fill in the color of our own preference...
So here it is...By Multiply the sketch layer, i'm able to brush on color i want without covering the sketches...^^
I love the head part, but i failed at the body, it seems that my smudging skill need to be improve...><"
I've tried to throw in different color of brown on the body...
There are horses with lots of color shades on their body right...><

Hi Guys, Today I'm going to talk about my favorite colors here. I have quite a few colors that I love, they are purple, black, white and also silver.

Let’s get on to the most favorite color…

Purple, a mixture colors of blue and red, it gives me an elegant and mysterious feeling. However purple nowadays stand for royalty and piety. I love purple may also due to lavender. I always love Lavender since I was young, and that’s where I learn the color purple.

I personally prefer purple to be on a dress, this may makes whoever wearing the purple dress looks elegant and beautiful, I’m not saying that wearing other color of dress won’t make you looks elegant, is just a impression of the purple dress will always look nice especially a long ones.

Well, let’s go on to the next color, Black.

Black is the darkest color out of all the other colors and it is a contrast color to white. Most of the times when people think of black, they will see it as a negative sign, and Chinese usually think black represent bad luck, and they will avoid wearing black cloths especially during special festivals like Chinese New Year. However as years gone by, the society nowadays have become more modern and people are more rational, so black does not intend to be a negative sign or a color that will bring bad luck to people anymore.

Anyway, the reason I love black is because, if there is no black, other bright colors like white couldn't have a chance to stand out in front of the black. 

Black acts quite an important role in color world.

Enough of the Black, let’s talk about white.

White, a pure clean color, like angels, clean, innocent, pure, honesty and others good value…

White is when u adjusts a color of the picture to its maximum brightness and of course white are a contrast to black too. The reason I love white because of its pureness, and it is similar to black, without white, most of the dark colors will not be able to show up. Yet there are a lot of different tones of white, for example, pearl white, ivory white, cream white, and a lot others more…

I personally favor Ivory white, I just like it, no reason, sorry if I couldn’t explain it well…

Last of my favorite color, Silver…

Silver, whenever I heard about this word, I will immediately think of something shiny, smooth and perhaps metallic.

Indeed, silver are a kind of precious metal that can be used to make jewelry, ornaments, and a lot of other things…

Silver may be a mixture of grey and shiny, the reason I love silver is because I love shiny stuff, blinging and may shine out itself among the others.
